MapBiomas Argentina brings together specialists from the different ecoregions of the country, focusing on topics such as remote sensing, ecology, geographic information systems (GIS), and programming, with the aim of producing annual land cover and land use maps of Argentina from 1998 onwards. We are a collaboration network among NGOs, universities, and research institutes that is constantly growing. Each year, data is processed to improve the quality of the maps, both in expanding the analyzed time period and in the number of mapped classes.
